Mentoring Community

For some time now we have felt that we may provide more intensive, more targeted support.  So, we have launched the Mentoring Community to provide that support.

You might ask, are we now creating a two tier system withing Bottled Up.  Well the answer is no!  We recognise that people just as people have different learning styles they also access and consume help and support in different ways.  There is no “one size fits all” way of helping.  And, in Bottled Up, we have never felt that everyone should follow one strict set of rules.

For those who just want to remain mostly anonymous, read the articles, watch the videos and go off and apply the information, then we have the Family area with loads of resources.

However, for those who want to be part of a mutual community of people in a similar situation; who would like a bit more guidance from people who have experience and knowledge of that situation, we have created the Mentoring Community.  So now you can choose the way you access support.  Choose the method that best suits you.

In the video below we discuss our vision of how we see the Mentoring Community developing and growing.  We see it as a joint venture between our members and ourselves, something that will be shaped by your input.  Let us know what you think.

PLEASE NOTE:  THE MENTORING COMMUNITY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED

  1. Hi, its lovely to meet you both. I am hoping that i can benefit and can help benefit others. My story is a bit complex, in that, i wasnt sure which way to join…as a drinker or partner of a drinker…but I chose living with a drinker because I kind of assessed where the need for advice was more beneficial…to my relationship and myself. I have proven to myself in the past, that by helping others makes my situation better…it was on that bases, I chose. I do like to have a drink, though not alcohol dependent, i am engaged to an alcohol dependant lovely man. We dont live together as I still have 2 dependent children at my home. Between us we have 9 children, but his are all grown up and left home. We cant live together because of the impact on my children, so I see my finacee when my children are at their Dads on a week share plan. There is a lot more to my story…but I just want to give you a bit of insight…a frame (if you like) to the picture. Kind regards .
