Since we opened Bottled Up over 15 years ago, our website has been visited almost 1 million times looking for information and support, thousands have joined the website and 10s of thousands have joined our mailing list. So, we know that there is a huge need for help. In that time, we have continually tried to find innovative ways to meet the needs of drinkers and their families. One of the most recent schemes was the Mentorship Group which we ran for 6 months. Although this group had very good feedback, as many felt it was helpful, we felt that it lacked a bit of focus.
Now we are looking to offer a more focussed series, aimed at teaching specific skills and strategies to families of drinkers. This Accelerated Series will be designed to lead you from essential survival skills building to an Intervention. It will be designed to take you by the hand and walk you through the program in a very accessible and practical way. The series will last between 6 and 8 weeks and will be delivered on a weekly basis. There will be a number of elements to each session, depending on the topic, for example:-
- A video discussing the theme for the week
- Another video answering questions sent in by you
- A regular email with tips and hints
- A voucher for 40% off a 1 to 1 session with John
The plan is to start this series in January, after the holiday season has finished. There will be a cost involved but we will try and keep the fees as low as we can. At the moment, we are just trying to assess the level of interest, if any, for such a venture. Also, should there be a large demand, places will be allocated on a first come basis.
